I tutor the subjects of reading and writing, English language and literature, and French language and literature. Out of all the subjects I tutor, I enjoy writing the most. It is my desire that my students enjoy learning. I believe education is a way for a person to realize their dreams and passions in life. If a student is having difficulty with a subject, there must be an interesting way of helping them overcome the challenge. Learning is best when it doesn't feel like work. As a tutor, the one-on-one support and guidance I provide is invaluable. I enjoy seeing students overcome their struggles and make progress in their studies. I have a master's in literary translation (French to English) from New York University (NYU). While attending NYU, I was an American Reads and Counts Tutor. In this role, I was a teacher's assistant in a second-grade classroom. This opportunity inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. More recently, I have taught in New York State and France. In France, I taught ESL in the classroom and in an afterschool program for ages 5-11 years old. In addition to teaching and tutoring, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, and exploring the world.
